| How Does It Work? |
|
The visitor clicks a CallMeNow
button on a web site and a dialog box pops up immediately. This box asks the visitor to put the phone number in.
When the visitor has placed his number in the box, he or she clicks the CallMeNow! button.
The customer's browser will return a confirmation page to let
him or her know that the call is on the way, and within seconds he will hear the phone ring. The web site owner's personnel will be on the other end of the phone, ready to assist the customer.

| Is
CallMeNow an Internet Telephone Service? |
No. CallMeNow is initiated over the Internet but the voice transmission does not take place on Internet.
CallMeNow uses the Public Switch Telephone Network to ensure reliability and quality. IP Telephony is not yet ready for prime time due to lack of standards, equipment and reliable bandwidth. |
| |
| What special software or hardware is needed to use
CallMeNow by the customer or web site owner? |
None! Only a phone line to receive the call is needed.
Please check this page if you are
connected behind a PBX.
CallMeNow will work with most PBX'es, but GlobalTel's switch may
need additional info if calls are to be routed to a specific
extension at you office. |
| |
| Does my business need an 800 number for
CallMeNow to work? |
|
No. We can send calls to any number in your company. Every salesperson can have a
CallMeNow button. |
| |
| Can I send calls to my 800 number if I want to? |
Yes. We can send calls to any number, including 800 numbers.
But you don't want to do that as you will
be charged by your carrier for the 800 portion of the call. |
| |
| Is
there a minimum usage requirement? |
|
No. There is no usage
requirement of any kind for establishing a standard GlobalTel
account. |
| |
| Are two phone lines needed? |
No. Customers with only one line
will have enough time to disconnect from
the Internet before the call reach them, as their number will
not be dialed before you have answered the call. |
| |
| Will
it work with Fax machines ? |
|
Yes !! We use only fiber optic connections to
all major carriers in the world, insuring the highest quality
connections for both voice and data communications.
So it you would like to offer your international customers the
option of faxing you Toll Free from any country that is actually
possible. The only problem may be the Time Out setting on you
fax machine. You may be able to adjust it if you have a high-end
fax, but as long as the Time Out is minimum 30 seconds it should
work. We program the CallMeNow button to call
you fax when requested by the customer. When your fax receives
the call it will start the "Handshake" and wait for
the other fax to identify itself. At this point the switch will
have dialed the other fax and the user must then manually pick
up and press the Start button on his or her device.
Please note: This will only work if the sender has a fax
with a handset or a speaker function, and it will only work if
the sender reacts before your fax reaches it's Time Out. The
service was not designed for this purpose, but it has been
tested and does work if the devices are programmed accordingly. |
| |

| |
| What happens if all my incoming lines are busy? |
|
The visitor's call may go into your voice mail system if it is configured to answer when all lines are busy. If our system gets a busy signal from your phones, it will make
several attempts at short intervals and then abandon the call if it can't get through. |
| |
| What happens if my customer's line is busy? |
|
Since the customer initiated the call, usually the customer's line will be free in expectation of the call. If the visitor is on the phone, your salesperson may get the customer's voice mail, at which point he/she can leave a message. If the customer's line is busy, your operator can select the auto redial feature or simply hang up and let the caller make another call. |

| I
have several lines in my office but they are very busy.
Frequently when a customer trigger a CallMeNow call, by the time GlobalTel calls me
my phone line is busy. |
|
Request GlobalTel's
"Cascade Callback". If you are in a country where you
have several individual lines but they do not "hunt"
automatically; that is, if one line is busy and the calls do not
automatically roll over to the next line, you need our
"Cascade Callback". Give us all the phone numbers in
your office and the order in which you would like us to try
them. When you trigger a call, GlobalTel will call your first
location number. If no-one answers (or the phone is busy) we
will call the second location number 45 seconds later. If the
second attempt is not successful, the third and fourth attempts
each will occur 90 seconds apart.
Some customers use this as a
'follow me' service so that we try them first at their office
location. If that isn't successful we try a secondary location
such as their home. If that isn't successful we try their mobile
phone etc. Keep in mind that this will not work if you have an
answering machine. If on the first attempt we reach an answering
machine, we will consider the call completed and will not try
again. |
| |
| Is it easy to implement a
CallMeNow button on my site? |
|
Very easy. Once you fill out the application and submit it,
GlobalTel will return a customized hyperlink and offer an image for you to use as call
the button on your site. Simply put the call button on your site and link them to the URL we give you and you are done with the setup!
GlobalTel's software engineer
will add this feature to your website on your request. There is
no charge for adding the CallMeNow feature to your website. The
only charge is GlobalTel low CallBack rates for the calls
completed. |
| |
| What if I don't like your
CallMeNow button? Can I create my own? |
Yes
- Sure. You can use any image as your CallMeNow button. |
